Hello! My name is Bethany Thompson, and I am a Kindergarten teacher here at Settler's Point Elementary. My favorite thing about teaching this grade is seeing just how excited and eager my students are to learn every single day.

There are so many big moments in Kindergarten, but for me, nothing beats the magic of watching a student begin to read. It is such a rewarding milestone to witness, and I love being there to cheer them on as they unlock a whole new world of stories and information.

When I’m not at school, I love staying active and exploring. I enjoy traveling, hunting for unique treasures while antique shopping, and trying out new foods! At home, I love spending my time playing with my dogs.

You can help your child grow and prepare for school by reading together every day. Keeping your home routines consistent and constantly encouraging their natural curiosity will give them a huge head start in the classroom!
