The school year has been underway for just over one month now! Students and staff at Settler's Point Elementary have been busy learning, growing, and building community. From the successful Lion Learning Night to the kickoff of the first student council meeting, the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year is off to a great start! Here's a breakdown of everything that's happened so far.

The first month was filled with opportunities to connect with the community. The year kicked off with Picture Day on August 1st, capturing smiles from students and staff. Settler’s Point Elementary also hosted Lion Learning Night, giving families a chance to learn about all the "roar-some" things students would be learning this year. To support the school, the PTO organized a fun Bahama Bucks Night, and the Dads' Club held its first meeting to start planning for the year ahead.

Learning is in full swing across campus. The first two weeks were a success, with students and staff doing an incredible job of learning new routines and focusing on ROAR each day. Outside the classroom, students have been able to get involved with new clubs, including the first meetings for both Myndfulness Matters Club and Young Rembrandts.

Students and staff are also showed off their school spirit and celebrated its first SWAG Spirit Day, with everyone proudly wearing school shirts or school colors. The first Student Council meeting was held, marking the beginning of an exciting year of student leadership.
