Welcome to Settler’s Point 2nd grade! I am so excited to be part of your child’s education and look forward to sharing their school experiences. My goal is to help my students become confident, lifelong learners and know that they can achieve anything with hard work and the attitude to never give up. It is important to accept new challenges and know that sometimes mistakes will be made along the way, but mistakes too are a part of learning.  In my class, we will strive to be role model students, teammates that work together, and friends.

About Me

My name is Michele Evans and this is my first year at Settler’s Point, but I am not new to teaching. I have been teaching for 22 years in grades K-3rd.  I received my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University.

I’m an Arizona native and have raised my family in the Gilbert area. I have 3 children of my own that all attended Gilbert Schools. I enjoy reading, scrap booking, and watching my kids sporting events.

I am looking forward to an amazing year with you and your child. We will work together to help them be successful learners. Good communication between parent, teacher, and student is very important for your child’s academic growth. Please take the time to stay informed by reading the weekly newsletters and checking the Home Connection Folder for weekly progress reports, spelling words and homework. You are welcome to volunteer in our classroom or help from home as often at you like. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me through email or by phone.
