I am the science and social studies teacher for fifth grade. As our blocks are an hour and a half, I also provide Math intervention as well. For math intervention I provide activities and small group instruction based on individual student needs.

About Me

I grew up in the Scottsdale School District and was a part of both their pull-out gifted program and advanced placement classes. Upon graduating Coronado High School in 2002 I attended ASU where I graduated in 2007 with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I graduated from Grand Canyon University in March of 2013 with a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership and I am currently a doctoral Student at GCU with an anticipated graduation in 2017.
Upon graduating ASU I began my career in the Roosevelt School District teaching first and third grade, both general and cluster classes. While there I attended a variety of professional development opportunities as I worked towards obtaining my gifted endorsement. Since leaving Roosevelt in 2011 I have worked as a self-contained gifted teacher as well as a pull-out gifted specialist. After taking a year off to stay home to care for my three young children upon the birth of my son in 2014 I am excited to be a part of the team at Settler's Point!
Besides my career, my family is also very important to me. I married my high school sweetheart in December of 2006 and we now have three wonderful children, Nichole, Daniella, and Alexander. Also considered part of our family is Zaria, our Chihuahua-Terrier mix, Lily, our Labrador Retriever mix, and our cat Ludo.
